Sometimes I feel flowers and bright colours are out-of-place for a winter birthday. It’s nice to give a card which reflects the season and so I drew on some traditionally holiday supplies for this card.
The card is based on a tag (what a surprise hehe) – one of the Large Tags from Simon Says Stamps cut from Neenah solar white. Also cut from white are a couple of Stitched Slopes and Hills which were then ran through the die cutter again with the Large Tag die to create snowy slopes which fit the tag perfectly :D Before the slopes were adhered with foam adhesive I gave the base tag a little colour with some Sea Glass ink gently rubbed in with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. All of the background details let the star of the show shine, the long-time-no-see little fox from Lawn Fawn’s Into The Woods – as cute as ever and still a firm favourite :D He’s stamped in Memento tuxedo black, Copic coloured and a touch of Zig wink of stella added before die cutting with the matching dies. The sentiment is from the Chit Chat set stamped in Fresh Peach and cut out. An Abby snowflake cut from glitter card accentuates the winter theme.
I’m not sure why I associate foxes with winter; they are around all year-long but in my mind they are a traditional winter animal :D I’ve a number of winter birthdays coming up so will be developing this frosty theme again soon.

Really enjoy your cards! Thank you.
I love this card. What a great idea, I have a lot of birthdays in January and one of my sisters last name is Fox so this is perfect for her birthday. I just wish I had beautiful snowflake die to use on a card for her like you did.
Oh lots of lovely foxes around for you to make cards for your sister :D
Just too, too lovely! Jo x
Super cute!
I love your card Debbi! And yes, you are right… the fox just seems to be a more winter-themed animal then for other times of the year. Wonder why!? :)
I know weird isn’t it. I can understand a white arctic fox being winter themed but even the traditional red fox seems to be associated with winter too.
What a sweet birthday card! Sure to make anyone smile.
Me too! No flowers for December or January birthdays, and I don’t really want Christmas either. Especially for January birthdays. And I love the tag theme on cards. I think it’s a phase that you’ve brought to all of us BEAUTIFULLY. I’m certainly loving the 110# weight white papers. They’re heavy weight and can stand up on Dimensionals, but the white is so much more bright white than what I’ve used in the past. Just beautiful, Debby!
I do love a good white Celia :D
I agree. Winter cards need winter scenes. Great card. Love Lawn Fawn critters!
Sooo CUTE!!!
Awww Sooo cute:)
