Shake it baby!!!! OK, I’m getting carried away but I can’t stop shaking and it seems neither can you! Shaker cards are all the rage and the new Shake It Up release from Simon Says Stamp is going to have us all sh-sh-shaking! Shaker cards really do give that ‘wow’ factor and yet today’s shaker card tutorial (see video below) shows how easy they are to make.

Simon Says Stamp Shake It Up release

The new release has fabulous iconic images such as a retro TV, classic present, fun gumball machine and cute clock. I thought the Clock Shaker die from the new release would be perfect for bringing in the New Year – I wanted it to be able to stand alone and intend to use it as a New Year’s invite :D The clock is die cut from various DCWV glitter cardstocks – silver, steel grey and black – suitably sparkly for the occasion meanwhile the paper behind the clock face is from Teresa Collins and adds a subtle back drop to all the fabulous Shaker Shack beads and sequins shaking away inside. The 2015 is cut with the Simple Numbers dies from more of the glitter cardstock this time in gold and adhered to the front of the shaker card so that the numbers wouldn’t be obstructed by the beads. Finally the sentiment from the Sparkle & Shine stamp set is embossed on 120lb white card with Liquid Platinum powder on a banner from the Thanksgiving Feast dies.
