Oh I had such fun with this cute new Whale Done set from Clearly Besotted! Isn’t that whale just adorable? He’s a solid stamp but I wanted to get some shading in there so I stamped him in Fog ink onto Neenah solar white card and then die cut with his matching die. Then I added shading with Copics – W1 is a really close match to Fog ink and then I went in with W3, W5 and W7 for shading adding dots of the darker colours and Signo white gel pen dots too on the belly with touches of glitter. Of course this little guy needed a wiggle eye to finish ;) I used my Copics again on his blow hole spout of water – stamped in Sea Glass ink and then shaded slightly with B0000, B41 and B52 before covering with Star Dust Stickles.
I wanted some happy colours for this congratulations card so reached for Lawn Fawn’s Hello Sunshine paper pad. I used one of the pieces that had a few bright patterns on it and then added the plaid blue paper cut with the Wave Edge die. The sentiment is stamped in Versafine onyx black leaving just enough room to foam mount the whale beside it. Finally, I wrapped some Orchid twine around the panel and then mounted onto a top folding card base.
