I have a little giveaway at the end of this post, but I will get to that in a bit :D Firstly, do you love to give homemade produce as gifts? It’s so easy to add a couple of finishing touches to take your hard work in the kitchen to the next level! A circle of muslin, or linen over the jar lid adds that homely feel and what better way to keep it in place than with a tag tied up with some rustic twine. I have a big roll of 100% jute twine from May Arts for when I want that country feel :D

The tag is cut from Neenah solar white with the Medium Tag die from Simon Says Stamp. The strawberry from the Tag You’re It set from My Favorite Things was initially inked with Cotton Candy ink and then the edges were rolled with Lipstick Red ink. This ‘rock and roll’ technique of inking gives depth to the image, leaving it looking like light is hitting the juicy round of the fruit :D The strawberry leaves are a separate image and they were stamped in Green Apple ink, before the ‘To’ was stamped over the top in Black.

The jar label was stamped in a similar way on a Wrapped Mailing Label die cut again from a lightweight white card; this allowed the label to easily bend around the jar. The ‘Homemade & from the Heart’ sentiment really says it all don’t you think? Homemade produce with handmade finishes touches is a testament to the thought and care that has been taken with the gift and that must surely make the recipient feel appreciated. Well I hope so! A bonus is that these finishing touches only take a few minutes to create a batch, thats a big score in my book when time is a pressing during the holiday season :D

While I was tidying up the other day, I realised that I had more of the Daydreamer Project Life cards than I could ever use! So I grabbed a few from the pack and some of the matching 6×6 papers and added a mixture of other bits and pieces together to form this little giveaway! The Rafflecopter system I used with my last giveaway was really easy for me, so I’ve set up the tool below. Best of luck!
