Oh my the December 2014 Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp is gorgeous! I love the sentiment elements of the Sparkle and Shine stamp set and there are great accent images too. In addition the kit has two full size Ranger embossing powders, a mini embossing ink pad, gorgeous card colours and sparkly, shiny sequins!

This kit is primed for embossing and my heat gun has been earning it’s keep the last couple of days! However, to kick-start things I just fell in love with that ‘yay’ image and had to get inky with it :D I pulled three ink colours which matched some of the card in the kit – Sea Glass, Soft Navy and Slate Gray, and stamped the yay three times in a little block in the corner of a white panel cut from the lovely thick 120lb white card in the kit. One of the rock stars from this kit are those gorgeous sequins, which are dotted around to accent the stamping and twine bow.

The panel is foam mounted on a top folding card base using more of the white card but before adhering the panel I stamped the sentiment using the mini embossing pad from Ranger and sprinkled with the Liquid Platinum powder before getting busy with my heat gun. I still remember the first time I watched the magic of embossing powder melting; I think that pretty much sums it up, magic as those little granules of powder melt and smooth into the perfect shine :D Adding the embossing just catches the eye and takes this simple card up a notch :D
