Debby Hughes - Lime Doodle Design - Clearly Besotted Stamps October release - christmas, card, wreath, baubles

This beautiful wreath stamp and die from the Clearly Besotted Hanging Around set really got me thinking! The stamp set is designed with numerous circles and a few open spaces to add embellishments. I could think of a thousand things to accent this wreath! Stamped in grey I think it would look great with some fall coloured bling and a few leaves tucked in. Stamped in green with some red bling and perhaps some holly & berries it could be so classical. However, for today I wanted to go modern and bright! I have many, many packets of enamel dots and many of those are no longer available to buy but I have a few dots in each packet left and I’m reluctant to pass them on as, well I do love enamel dots! However, this card takes care of the problem; popping any combination of dots into the gaps within the stamp and on top of some of the circles and you have a bright happy wreath :D It doesn’t come across very well in photos, but the wreath is stamped and embossed with Wow metallic platinum sparkle powder which gives a very, well sparkly wreath in real life :D The glitter in the Wow powder makes it more grainy though so for the fine bow I turned to Ranger super fine detail silver embossing powder instead. I also embossed the one of the sentiments from the set in the same silver too.Debby Hughes - Lime Doodle Design - Clearly Besotted Stamps October release - christmas, card, wreath, baubles

The wreath is mounted over a die cut circle with some toning patterned paper showing through – it just adds a bit of dimension and helps to draw the eye to this otherwise pretty CAS card.

Well that’s me for this morning, but watch out as I’m back twice later this afternoon! See you then :D
