I’m back! I took some time out and as a family we hopped off to find a little last-minute sunshine last week. Having returned, yesterday I was so lucky to get to meet up with Heidi Crowl and Stephanie Leykauf of Simon Says Stamp as well as an awesome bunch of crafty ladies. If you like to see more on that then pop over to my Instagram feed – I share a few non-crafty things over there as well as the normal bits and bobs :D The kids are back to school and normal service resumes again now though :D You can find me peeking from behind the washing pile LOL.
However, despite the piles around me, I couldn’t resist using the gorgeous large sentiment from Mama Elephant’s new Peace on Earth set again today! The sentiment is so easy to work with there really is very little you need to do. For my card I simply stamped in Versamark on watercolor card and clear embossed. I also embossed some little sparkle images from the set after which I applied a liberal amount of water with brush to a rectangle area around the sentiment and dotted in some watercolours.
I was very good and let this dry on its own and then all that was needed were some sequins and a little stickles glitter glue to dress it up. I cut the panel down slightly and then mounted on a top folding Jelly Bean card base. Done! This card would be so simple to mass produce and each one would be individual due to the nature of watercolours :D
Well that’s me for today, I’m off to finish the unpacking and putting the summer stuff away. I would be sad apart from I love the changing seasons and get excited at the prospect of the first truly frosty morning. That feeling doesn’t last when clearing the car of ice on an early morning mind, but I’m not thinking about that part yet LOL.
