Hello! How about a fun challenge from Clearly Besotted Stamps today? The theme this month is Christmas! I find it funny that as card makers we are a season ahead of real life, don’t you? Here the trees are just turning and there’s a slight chill in the air and yet in my craft room we are talking full blown winter, there may as well be icicles from the curtain poles LOL.
My card today uses the cute as can be new Rockin’ Robin set :D A simple design of snowy banks from Simon Says Stamps Stitched Slopes and Hills set the scene for a holly sprigged branch with a Robin doing his thing! The Rockin’ Robin set is great for this as everything comes with its own matching die – branch stamped in Dark Chocolate, Holly in Forever Green and Lipstick Red and the star of the show, the Robin stamped in Khaki and again Lipstick Red :D I added his beak and eyes in Black but then couldn’t resist a couple of wiggle eyes. I stand by my conviction that life is better with wiggle eyes!
Finally, I stamped the ‘be merry’ sentiment and music notes directly onto the patterned paper panel in Black and then foam mounted everything onto a top folding Neenah solar white card base.
OK, so don’t forget to pop on over to see Stephanie who will have all the challenge details as well as more samples from the Design Team :D
The children are on holiday next week and I’m feeling the need for a little time out, so I think things will be a wee bit quieter around here but just for a few days ;) Catch up soon!
