Debby Hughes - Lime Doodle Design - Clearly Besotted Stamps September release - rocket, card, boy, stars

It’s the last of the Clearly Besotted sneaky peeks before the new sets go live tonight; 10pm UK time (5pm EST). This card uses the new Blast Off II set which co-ordinates with the original Blast Off dies and is such a cute set for those little boys :D The sentiment is so cool, love it! I coloured directly to the stamp with a range of Memento markers; I have the Camp Fire set which matched perfectly this card. I worked through the colours in the set starting at Dandelion and then Cantaloupe, Tangelo and finally Ladybug. Slowly colouring in the sentiment and aiming for the colours to blend slightly. Before stamping, I ‘huffed’ on the stamp to add a little moisture and then stamped onto white card cut into a banner shape. The banner is stitched with silver thread to a panel of Lawn Fawn paper.

I don’t think it is a secret that I love vellum and I thoroughly enjoyed playing around with its translucency today. I stamped the main rocket image from the Blast Off II set in Versamark, silver heat embossed and die cut out. I attached the rocket so that you can see a little of the sentiment banner peeking through. For the rocket flames I cut one flame from vellum and coloured on the back with Copics and layered it over a second flame of white card. This really allowed the bright colours of the Copics to stand out. Finally a few sequins and stars to finish things off :D
