Debby Hughes - Lime Doodle Design - Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember - Halloween, cat, trick or treat, card

I was looking through my cards the other day and realised I hadn’t shared this one with you. It was another I made when delighting in the new Trick or Treat set from Simon Says Stamp which I believe is back in stock – the set comes as stamps, matching dies and, with a small saving, as a bundle. I thought I’d share this today as I really enjoyed the start of Copic Markers for Card Makers over at Online Card Classes and the Copic coloured kitty seemed appropriate!

The cat is stamped in Memento tuxedo black, Copic coloured (see colours below), trimmed out and a black marker run around the cut edge to finish it off. The sentiment is stamped in Versafine onyx black and trimmed out. Both are mounted onto an inky panel of broken china, dusty concord, chipped sapphire and black soot Distress Inks splattered with a solution of Perfect Pearls. I die cut a circle moon and backed it with another distress inked panel this time in mustard seed and spiced marmalade and splattered with water to give a more subtle effect. To ground the scene I stamped the striped border from the set on white card and trimmed out to fit the panel.

If you haven’t checked out the Copic Markers for Card Makers class yet then I highly recommend it and I’m very much looking forward to todays lesson going live shortly :D
