Oh my goodness I’m so honoured that Chupa asked me to be the September muse for CASE Study! Back in June, Chupa was the guest for Chaitali’s Iron Craft and the question asked of the readers was ‘who would you like to see as the next muse in CASE Study?’. ` I was and still am, totally blushing that so many of you threw my name into the hat. So long story short, here I am as CASEing myself for the four Thursdays this month! If you are new around these parts you might not realise that it was Chupa who back in 2011 asked this little known and inexperienced blogger to be on her Design Team. I jumped at the chance and had three amazing years CASEing fabulous designers and making many firm friends along the way. It feels so good to be back, if a little weird that I’m CASEing myself LOL. So here’s the card for this week:
This card was one from last month using the new Persian Motifs Altenew set and some Simon Says Stamp dies. On the original card I white heat embossed the flowers on vellum and then coloured them from behind with Copics. For my card this week I again used vellum coloured with Copic markers but this time I coloured the vellum first with a R29 Copic and then die cut with the Poinsettia Parade die from Simon Says Stamp. Coloured more vellum this time with G28 and die cut again to get the leaves. I layered the poinsettia flowers together with dots of Glossy Accents and then added a pearl in the centre of each coloured with Y19. Once the flowers were all set it was time to add them to my card. I die cut a panel of Fog card using Simon Says Stamps Frames dies (the same one that cut the vellum in the original) and then added Wendy Vecchi white embossing paste through the Falling Stars Stencil.
I cut a Holiday Frame from white card and foam mounted it over the panel and then tucked the flowers around the frame edge. A little twine bow finished it off.
Please pop by CASE Study and see what the Design Team have created and perhaps if you have a little time you’d like to join in this week? I’d love to see what you’d make :D

This is really a stunning Christmas card. I think I have only used Vellum once to make a card…with all this beautiful inspiration (especially your card) I am definitely going to be using vellum more often!
Love the translucent colour you achieved on these beautifully detailed poinsettia petals and I love how they are tucked into the frame edges. Your background has wonderful texture and such a beautiful pairing with the poinsettias, just stunning! So happy that you are the Muse for the month!
I love all your cards but this one is one of my favorite! I think I like it even more than the “original”!
Thanks for being our muse at CASE study!
