It’s day 2 of peeks for Clearly Besotted Stamps September release; I adore the new Woodland Pals set which has the cutest little critters! The designs remind me of the Japanese kawaii style so I tried to capture that clean line, pastel with a pop of colour. The adorable fox is stamped in Orange Peel and the little tree in Beanstalk Green and then both were die cut with the matching dies. I then coloured the eyes of the fox with a fine Copic multiliner; I spent ages with two versions of the fox, one with orange eyes and one with black and couldn’t decide which I preferred but in the end this version won as it seemed to fit with the kawaii look more. For the card base I added some cute heart paper from Teresa Collins and then foam mounted a panel, with a different pattern and the lower edge cut with the Card Curved Edge die from Simon Says Stamp, over the top. To finish off I added a Freckled Fawn wood veneer Speech Bubble; the pale wood seemed to fit the theme and colours well. Gasp no sequins on this one; clean, simple and as it turns out, quick:) I’m going to be brief too as I’m off to town to sort some shopping out for the kids. Surely the older two will stop growing soon, right? Hopefully I will be back later with another STAMPtember card, I just need to get back from town quickly enough to take some pictures. Right, where’s the shopping list ….
