‘Tis the season of the bugs and sneezles! That’s what I was thinking while making this little gift bag at any rate; something to hold a wee pick-you-up gift. However, hedgehugs sound so cute they’d be welcome anytime :D This is my contribution to the CASE Study challenge for the week based on this inspiration.
I made this gift bag last spring in preparation for the end of term teacher gifts, but the apple is so autumnal too don’t you think? I was looking at this and thinking gift bag, simply coloured Copic image on a tag and then I got a happy mail parcel of Lawn Fawn goodies – gift bag (tick), cute images to colour (tick) and I was away! The paper and card were flying and the Copic lids popping and before you knew it I was done :D
To start I cut the Goodie Bag from Fog card and then added a few pieces of patterned paper from the Sweater Weather pad. Next I die cut the label from Simon Says Stamps Wrapped Mailing Label set (the same one I used for the original) and stamped the two hedgehogs from Hedgehugs in Memento Tuxedo Black. The Copic colouring is quick and easy – just flicks of different browns in the direction of the spines and a few flicks of green for blades of grass.
Finally I white heat embossed the sentiment from the set on a strip of patterned paper from the same pad and ribbon cut the ends. The bag has score lines in the side which means that it folds in easily and I just tied the top closed with a little Hemptique twine.
Please call by the CASE Study blog to see the Design Team creations and if you find time to join in with the challenge I’d love to see what you make :D
