I love the depth of Halloween colours, all those yellows, purples, lime greens and blacks. Rich and atmospheric, the chill in the air, the smell of pumpkins toasting under the heat of their candles and the squeals of excited children; I love this time of year! OK, so we are only September now but it won’t be long. My hands are all inky after making this card – lots of Distress Ink love. Using the mini ink blending tool from Ranger, The Rounded Tag from Clearly Besotted is inked in Broken China, Chipped Sapphire, Dusty Concord and Black Soot before being give a good splattering with Perfect Pearls mixed to various concentrations in a little water. Inked in Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade the circle die cut is splattered with water which gives a more muted colour variation than the Perfect Pearls did on the tag. These are layered over a little patterned paper on a card base and then comes the fun part; the crazy pumpkin line up and sentiment is all one stamp with a matching die from Clearly Besotted’s new Halloween Spirit set.
This set has got several images of a good size to make an impact on a card or treat bag and there are lots of cute Halloween icons included too. The pumpkins are inked in Versafine onyx black which gives really crisp detail and then die cut – love how Stephanie’s dies have such attention to detail; notice that the die even cuts the little areas between the pumpkins :D
Well, that’s me for today but I will be back tomorrow with another peek before all these new Clearly Besotted Stamp sets go live at 10pm UK time tomorrow :D
