Are you ready? Oh yeah, oh yeah it’s STAMPtember time! Wohoo! Sorry LOL, but I get ridiculously excited as the new Simon Says Stamp products come out at this time of year; all those autumn, Halloween and Christmas stamps with lots of other goodies thrown in too. Wanna look? OK you twisted my arm – TA DA!
Notice towards the end there? Yes, there are 6 new ink colours! I love the formulation Simon Says Stamp use and to have 6 more yummy colours to play with just makes me happy. My card today uses the gorgeous new Autumn Blessings stamp set along with four of the new ink colours. Simon has collaborated with some superstar companies for this release and this set is exclusively designed for Simon by Clearly Besotted Stamps! But I’m getting ahead of myself; you must know how much I love to use tags on my cards. Well in the new release there are some awesome new cards with fabulous die cut wording built-in. I can see me using these in place of my normal tags :D
The Giving Thanks die is cut from Neenah solar white card and then one of the wreath images from Autumn Blessings stamped in Beanstalk Green. Next I added the flowers in Goldenlocks and the berries in Coral Reef (adore this colour!) and Sea Glass. I masked the large flower before stamping the pinecones trio in Dark Chocolate Ink and then snipped the littlest cone out of the trio to use on its own in the other groupings. I also snipped the ‘for’ from one of the sentiments in the set and stamped it in Cobblestone ink and added a die cut You before embellishing with a selection of sequins, pearls and wood veneer stars. The piece is then foam mounted onto a 4bar card covered with some delicious Teresa Collins patterned paper.
Phew, lots of words for a simple card!. Normally I like to pick a few favourites but this release is so awesome I seriously could list the lot! I’ve got lots to share over the next few days and there are so many more things I’m dying to try. Just need to find a 26 hour day. That would do it LOL.
