I mentioned in my last post about this card – friends of my sister are adopting a little girl called Alice. My sister and I chatted about the etiquette of what card to send for an adoption and in the end I went with something to simply put a smile on a little girls face – lots of Lawn Fawn cute critters should do the job! There’s no rhyme or reason to this card, I suppose I could’ve put a little house in there somewhere but I did stamp on the inside ‘welcome to your new home’. The rabbit and trees (in Beanstalk Green and Forever Green) are from Snow Day, the hedgehog from Hedgehugs and the bird from Year Four. All were stamped with Memento tuxedo black, coloured with Copics and cut with their matching dies (see links below). Milo’s ABC’s made quick work of the name banner and the scene is based on the Frames set from Simon Says Stamp which was cut with the Snow Drifts dies from My Favorite Things and the clouds from Clearly Besotted Home Sweet Home.
The panel is mounted onto a kraft card base stamped in Versamark with the Designer Woodgrain from Hero Arts to add that woodland feel. I’m not a very pink and girly kinda girl, but did sneak a little Cotton Candy heart covered with Star Dust Stickles and a pink envelope.
Phew, there’s quite a lot going on with this card (I think that’s the longest supply list in a long time) but I hope that it makes the new parents and Alice smile :D
