I do love a good punny sentiment and this set from Wplus9 is perfect, or should that be pear-fect :D Talking of play on words I had to add my little cactus in the background. I always think of prickly pears when I think of cacti! Not that that either the pear or my cactus fit with this, but hey, it kept me amused when I was taking the pictures LOL.
The Punny Produce Pears set is so easy to use to get really great sketchy looking images. The outline is stamped in black and then the solid image for the pear body is stamped in Mint and the leaf in Green Leaf, both from Simon Says Stamp. It was as simple as that :D The sentiment is stamped to overlap and then I splattered a little black and gold spray. I am so late to the washi party but I am enjoying using a little on my projects recently so wrapped a little Mint Chevron around the side of the panel. I cut the scallop from Green Leaf card using the Frames dies from Simon Says Stamp. I think I use these dies on almost all my recent projects – so flexible.
The last touches were a few sequins and a quick zig zag stitch. Isn’t it weird how you go through phases? A while back I stitched on my cards a lot; often all the way around the edge of a mat. Then my sewing machine gathered dust for ages and now I’m back to adding a little stitching, but just an accent here and there :D I’d love to hear if you’ve revisited an old favourite :D

So pretty! lovely color combination. I have you know that it was you! who made it impossible for me to resist buying gold embossing powder any longer. I know you are not using it here but I love how you add touches of gold to some of your creations. Beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration. By the way I just used that gold embossing powder for the first time in my lasted post. Check it out if you like. Sorry for the long comment.
Just a touch of gold is the right amount for me and you nailed it :D
I love a good pun, too, and this set is just great for that. I love your minty color and the addition of the washi tape.
Lovely, Lovely Card, Debby! Love the colors, the image, the sequins, the spray splatter–All of it!! :) XOXO-Shari T.
Speaking of ‘Pear-fect’, this is it, right here! I love the pop of green, and how you stamped your sentiment, Debby! Such a pretty card!
I love the softness of this card and the sketchy design. So pretty.
THIS is perfect, Debby! I love the outline pear image, and the gentle bits of colour!
Debby, I just love your cards! I must know where you got the gold washi tape in your pictures?! Gorgeous!
Samantha I got that one from Simon – it’s the gold triangles one from Freckled & Fawn :D
