Today it’s all about some favourites! I think this Stitched Duo 1 tag from Pretty Pink Posh is going to be a firm favourite of mine; it’s just the right size for decorating and I love the stitched detail too. I cut the tag twice; once from patterned paper and once from white card to add to the back at the end to hide the stitching. Anything Lawn Fawn is a favourite of mine and the little hippo from Year Four is so cute; he’s Copic coloured (see marker numbers below) and then cut out with the matching die. The speech bubble, again with dies, are from the Chit Chat set. So once I’d got this far I was wondering how to ground everything so it didn’t appear the hippo was floating in mid-air and then I remembered the Fresh Cut Grass die I have. This grass is cut from vellum; great to add detail but it’s translucency means that you can still see the hippo easily :D The Cloud Bank die from Simon Says Stamp is my favourite for adding clouds; the outline you get with the die is fabulous and then you get some solid clouds to throw in there too! Finally two more favourites seems to be the large sequins from Studio Calico’s Atlantic collection and the Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh :D

I hope your weekend is going well. Ours seems to revolve around getting back to routine as schools and all the clubs get up and running again. For us, that means swimming, swimming and more swimming LOL. I’m working my time schedule to the max while secretly enjoying the love of paper and pen with my trusty Midori Traveler’s Notebook :D One thing we will certainly be doing tonight though …..  is watching the start of the new Dr Who! Gotta be done :D
