With a month-long celebration of blog hops featuring past Muses and former DT members, CASE Study is turning 4!! Today is the third of four Thursdays in August and the third of four awesome blog hops! I think this testifies to the universal appeal of CASE Study and the wonderful people who have been involved both past and present, all supported by the one and only Chupa :D
In true CASE Study fashion I chose another paper crafter to be inspired by; the awesome Lisa Spangler:
I love Lisa’s artistic style and wonderful photography too. This page from Lisa’s pocket scrapbook has been hopping around my Pinterest boards. I think currently it is in my planner board with a view to using it to inspire a journal page but for today I used it to inspire a birthday card for my sister-in-law. I kept closely to Lisa’s page which I’m not sure was a good idea as I love Lisa’s so much that anything I was going to make in its image was never going to match up to the original!
The Hero Art’s butterfly is stamped onto water-colour card and water coloured around the image. When dry I splattered some black Heidi Swapp color shine across the panel and then added some washi and silver thread zig-zag stitching. The sentiment from Simon Says Stamp’s Handwritten Greetings is stamped in Versamark on Black card and White heat embossed before trimming out and cutting a flag end. The little banner is stapled over a Kelly Purkey sticker and then a few sequins added from Studio Calico and Pretty Pink Posh.
Below is a list of the all the stops in the hop, which will be open until midnight on Tuesday. Leaving comments on all stops along the way will make you eligible for prizes on offer from Altenew, CAS-ual Fridays Stamps, Paper Sweeties and Simon Says Stamp!! In addition, CASE Study want you to get creative; there’s a challenge open for you to CASE any of the projects along the hop :D
So now it is time to hop on over to the lovely
