Teens are awkward little devils aren’t they! All those hormones rushing around, don’t want to be treated like a child but don’t want to be forgotten either LOL. Hopefully this card will hit the mark for a teen back to school card – not childish or even typical colours but a nod to the occasion and just letting them know that they are being thought of :D

I used three different apple designs from Clearly Besotted Stamps’ An Apple A Day set, stamped in Simon Says Stamp’s Mint, Sunshine and Fog – love these colours together. The little leaves were given more definition stamped in Smoke. The sentiment is from July’s Journal It set stamped in Versamark on Slate card and White heat embossed. A little washi and enamel dot help to make a subtle cluster of interest meanwhile the Diagonal Stripes stamped in Smoke ground the panel.

We still have three weeks left of the summer break so it feels good to be ahead of the game! For now though it’s time to grab the suntan lotion and make the most of this uncharacteristically gorgeous summer we have been having :D Oh I think I might indulge in an ice lolly too ….
