Dawn Woleslagle of Wplus9 not only designs the most adorable stamps but she is an amazing watercolour artist too. She has various videos on her blog and over at Online Card Classes showing some fabulous watercolour techniques. I used the technique she demonstrated here on my card today – ink with Distress Inks, stamp off on scrap paper, stamp on project and then use a damp brush, more water and a little water colouring to add details. I used the leaf sprig from Simon Says Stamp’s Butterfly Friends set with Distress Markers along with the little flower duo from Married set in Soft Vanilla to create a wreath on a panel of Neenah solar white. It feels great to take a couple of small images and make them work double duty to create a larger focal point :D In the centre, the sentiment again from the Married set is stamped in Smoke ink :)
The wreath is accented with sequins, rhinestones and a little twine bow. Oh and a good dose of Zig Wink of Stella too!
Supplies: Stamps – Simon Says Stamp married, butterfly friends; Inks – Simon Says Stamp smoke, Hero Arts soft vanilla; Markers – Distress Markers peeled paint, forest moss, dried marigold; Sequins – Simon Says Stamp chantilly cream; Zig wink of stella clear bitter pen; Twine; Rhinestones

This is so beautiful, Debby. I love wreaths, I love those techniques Dawn has been teaching and this is a stellar example of both.
