Over the weekend I had the fabulous opportunity to meet up with some crafty friends! I had an awesome time, but while I was away my youngest son was on rugby camp and got terribly home sick. My husband spent a day driving to pick him up and bring him home again so everything was OK. However, I felt terrible that I was so far away and unable to help. To keep my mind occupied while thinking about my little one I made him a cute dino card! He loves anything cute and his favourite colour is blue, so a cute blue dinosaur it had to be and Lawn Fawn’s Critters From the Past were just perfect :)
I coloured the critters and tree with Copics and then added some Zig Wink of Stella glitter pen to really ramp up the cute factor. It’s such a shame that the shimmer from this pen is so difficult to capture in a photograph. For the background I blended Tumbled Glass Distress Ink onto a card panel and then spritzed and splattered with a solution of Perfect Pearls to add variation and more shimmer :) The grass is some of the new Let’s Polka patterned paper from Lawn Fawn and was cut into a little hill with the A2 Card Curved Edge die from Simon Says Stamp.
I was able to FaceTime my family when they got home and I’m delighted to say this card bought a big smile to one very tired and glad to be home, little boy!
