A little more watercolour love today! I used dilute Distress Inks again, as I did here, to give some light lines of colour on the background panel. For the Hero Arts ‘World for Taking‘ stamp I coloured directly onto the stamp with Distress Markers and then spritzed with a mini mister before stamping on Tim Holtz watercolor card. I added the panel to a card base made from Simon Says Stamp’s fog – I seriously can’t get enough of this colour. It is one of those neutrals which seems to adapt to the tone of the colours around it :)
I added a couple of pearls again from Hero Arts and then some Studio Calico stars. There was a little green pearl on there at one point, I’m not quite sure where that has escaped to but no doubt it will turn up. Probably very inappropriately stuck to my trousers or something LOL! Oh and the final thing I did was to randomly wrap some fine silver thread around the panel. It just seemed to help ground everything :)
Supplies: Stamps – Hero Arts world for taking; Inks – Distress Inks antique linen, frayed burlap, broken china; Distress Markers broken china, faded jeans, peeled paint, forest moss; Card – Simon Says Stamp fog, Tim Holtz Distress watercolor; Wood Veneer – Studio Calico stars; Bling – Hero Arts pool mixed accents; Silver Thread – Gutermann Sulky
I love the watercolor back ground. So clean and yet elegant. I am so excited to start the watercolor class next week.
