Did you hear it? The happy sigh when I saw the new colours from Simon Says Stamp! Grey folks! Grey! I am giddy with the possibilities I tell you :D Of course there are four other fabulous colours too making up a selection entitled ‘Daybreak‘ and all seven come in card and a matching ink pad.
Not only that but there’s a range of new Simon Says Stamp sequins too! You can see the full Daybreak release here :)
I took inspiration from a gorgeous picture I found on Pinterest and reached for my Pointed Feather dies and new colours :) The lightest grey card (Fog) I used for the card panel, the medium grey (Smoke) for the card base and the little tag and finally the darkest grey (Slate) for the branch. Another new colour used here is the luscious Burnt Orange die cut with the Leaf Column Background die and then snipped the ends to be used as berries.
I blended a little Burnt Orange ink into the Burnt Orange berries and did the same for the Sea Glass feather. The sentiment is from the Father’s Day stamp set and was white heat embossed onto the Smoke tag.
Well that’s all from me today. I’m sorry to not be posting more often but we are thick into the Easter holidays here with trips away, visitors and lots of fun family stuff too :) I hope if you have holidays that you are getting the chance to enjoy them too!

Oh my, Debby…this card is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! I love how you used the colors from the inspiration photo and played with your dies to create such a stunning work of art…WOW!
You just realise that you have totally made my day, right? GREY!!! Oh how I’ve waited ever-so-patiently for the day that decent grey card and ink would enter my life!
Your card is beyond stunning and is a perfect way to show those shades of grey – all three (not fifty) of ’em! LOL! ;)
Ah but you can never have too many shades of grey! Maybe in time Simon will make 50 ;)
Beautiful, Debby and I am in total agreement! The new colours looks wonderful :)
Complete gorgeousness – both your card and the new colours! Love the inspiration photo from pinterest and your take on it. I hope you have a lovely sunny easter break :)
