First Thursday in the month is always an exciting one as we reveal the new muse for the month at CASE Study! For the month of April I’m delighted that we have the outstanding Jaclyn Miller!! I mean just take a look at this beautifully balanced CAS stunner!
Oh I do love a great CAS card! The subtle grey combined with the strong red and then the two tone sentiment grounding everything. For me that’s the key to great CAS – just enough and perfectly placed :) I think you can see I kept to the inspiration pretty closely. It was when I saw the new sets for Clearly Besotted Stamps next release (going live on 05 April) that the Pretty Petals set was a perfect match :D
The leaves are stamped in Hero Arts soft granite with the flowers in Simon Says Stamp’s lipstick red and the sentiment combines the same red with Simon’s black. The flower centres are accented with some rhinestones I found in my stash and the that was it done!
Please pop by the CASE Study blog to see Jaclyn’s CASE of her own card as well as those of the Design Team and our guest for the month, Catherine Pooler :)
I’m back tomorrow with a really busy day on the blog! I hope you can join me :)
Supplies: Stamps – Clearly Besotted Stamp pretty petals; Inks – Simon Says Stamp lipstick red, black, Hero Arts soft granite; Card – Neenah solar white 110lb, DCWV glitter cardstock; jewels
This is a perfect take on the challenge. Crisp, clean and lots of white space yet it has the wow factor with red, the bling and the glitter. Great fonts on the sentiments as well. Love it!
This is such a charming card, Debby! Love your CAS design and the gorgeous color combo!
