Oh it’s a fun day today! A Blog Named Hero is turning two; can you believe it?! And there’s a blog hop to celebrate :) You should have come here from the wonderful Christina Martinez, but if not and you want to start at the beginning then pop on over to ABNH for all the details :)

To help ABNH celebrate two, I have two cards, with two birds and a play on the number two :D To start with, a soft and elegant aqua and silver number – I love this little Hero Arts Bird and doesn’t he look awesome stamped in the new Tsukineko Delicate Silvery Shimmer ink onto a lightly water coloured die cut circle! I stamped another circle with a partial sentiment from the Enjoy Today set and then made up the rest of the sentiment with a couple of die cuts – the glitter 2 from Simon Says Stamp’s Simple Numbers and the ‘day’ was snipped off their Happy Birthday die cut :)

Next up and I thought we’d go for a bit of fun with the crazy little bird from the Hero Arts Missing You Set. Again I used the Hero Arts Enjoy Today set playing nicely together with the 2 from Simon’s Simple Numbers to make up the sentiment :) To accent this mainly white card I added a couple of die cut triangles coloured with the same Copics as the little bird. Oh except the number 2 and one of the triangles was coloured by coating with a little Heidi Swapp citron Color Shine :)
