Popping in today with a quick and cute card, tag and envelope set :) The weather here is so absolutely glorious at the moment, I seriously can’t get enough of the blue skies and sunshine! However, it does mess with the normal way I take photos of my cards. So I upped sticks and headed to the coffee table where the light wasn’t quite so strong :) I’m not complaining though, in fact it was nice to take photos in a different way. Which do you prefer today’s style or my normal light and bright photos?
My youngest is going to a party on Saturday and this new Year Four set from Lawn Fawn is just perfect! In fact the whole of the new release from Lawn Fawn is adorable! I stamped each of the elements onto one of the new tags from Clearly Besotted Stamps – this is their Scalloped Tag, and then whittled away a pleasant few minutes colouring them in. There’s nothing particularly new here – the Lawn Fawn team do a fabulous job of showcasing their new sets, but I thought I’d share mine anyway. As much as anything, I’ve been trying to work ahead on some projects for the start of April and I’ve found myself lacking in posts for the last week or so. However, the good news is that the beginning of April will be packed with posts as we head into a mini late Spring release from Simon Says Stamp, a new release from Clearly Besotted Stamps and a surprise or two thrown into the mix as well :)
I’ll leave you with a photo of the sunset I took and shared on Instagram last night. The change in season has lightened my spirit so much! I just wish the sun had played ball and set a little to the right where the snow capped Trossachs were, but hey I will take a sunset like this every night of the week LOL.
Supplies: Stamps – Lawn Fawn year four; Dies – Clearly Besotted Stamps scalloped tag, tag along; Inks – Memento tuxedo black, Hero Arts fresh peach; Card – Neenah solar white 110lb; Paper – Lawn Fawn let’s polka; Ranger Stickles star dust glitter glue; Ranger glossy accents
I just received this stamp and die in the mail only minutes ago ! I was so happy to see that you made this sweet set. I will have to look to your beautiful coloring for inspiration. Enjoy the bright sky…..I hear you on the photos. Yours is perfect!
Such an adorable card and tag set Debby, your colouring is perfection :0)
Love this new setting but then I love the other too…. You have a great eye for placing your photographic props.
Oh and I say ‘upped sticks’ as well so must be a British thing :0)…. Need to google it’s meaning!!!
Jenny
Ah ha! Glad I’m not the only one that uses that phrase then LOL.
Utterly adorable, Debby! So uste how the bird is having a piggy-back – or should that be “hippo-back” – LOL
Love both of your photo shoot locations, and at the end of the day it’s your lovely cards that take centre stage anyway ;oP
Oh, you are too sweet Janet. It’s nice to have the option to take photos somewhere else when my normal set up isn’t working :)
aww…so cute. Love this little set you created and how you accented the hippo.
Darling tag and card! Love that image!
I just adore this playful birthday set and your cleverly staged photo. Your colouring is fabulous, as usual. Love the hippo’s spotted hide! Your sunset photo has me longing for spring to make an appearance here – we’re way behind schedule here on the shores of Georgian Bay. We’re still buried under 6 feet of snow.
Really like the coffee table back drop for your photos, has a homely feel with atmosphere
Thanks Claire :)
Too cute Debbie.
Debby these are just adorable! No matter where your photos are taken, you have a way of making them perfectly “at home.” [Wish I could send you “two ewes.”]
Hehe, Michelle! Turns out I have the Hero Arts missing you set which has a sheep with ‘missing ewe’ to go with it – there’s definitely a card with those in the future then :D
I’ll be watching for that =]
Both settings are lovely for your cards, Debby! This one is so cute with that colour combination.
