Popping in today with a quick and cute card, tag and envelope set :) The weather here is so absolutely glorious at the moment, I seriously can’t get enough of the blue skies and sunshine! However, it does mess with the normal way I take photos of my cards. So I upped sticks and headed to the coffee table where the light wasn’t quite so strong :) I’m not complaining though, in fact it was nice to take photos in a different way. Which do you prefer today’s style or my normal light and bright photos?
My youngest is going to a party on Saturday and this new Year Four set from Lawn Fawn is just perfect! In fact the whole of the new release from Lawn Fawn is adorable! I stamped each of the elements onto one of the new tags from Clearly Besotted Stamps – this is their Scalloped Tag, and then whittled away a pleasant few minutes colouring them in. There’s nothing particularly new here – the Lawn Fawn team do a fabulous job of showcasing their new sets, but I thought I’d share mine anyway. As much as anything, I’ve been trying to work ahead on some projects for the start of April and I’ve found myself lacking in posts for the last week or so. However, the good news is that the beginning of April will be packed with posts as we head into a mini late Spring release from Simon Says Stamp, a new release from Clearly Besotted Stamps and a surprise or two thrown into the mix as well :)
I’ll leave you with a photo of the sunset I took and shared on Instagram last night. The change in season has lightened my spirit so much! I just wish the sun had played ball and set a little to the right where the snow capped Trossachs were, but hey I will take a sunset like this every night of the week LOL.
Supplies: Stamps – Lawn Fawn year four; Dies – Clearly Besotted Stamps scalloped tag, tag along; Inks – Memento tuxedo black, Hero Arts fresh peach; Card – Neenah solar white 110lb; Paper – Lawn Fawn let’s polka; Ranger Stickles star dust glitter glue; Ranger glossy accents
SUPER CUTE Debbie!!! love that hippo :)
Love the cards, super cute!! I really like the way this photo turned out. The dark wood as the background with the spool of thread is super cozy.
However your other pictures are nice too, with the light and soft background they look more modern.
No matter how you film it, thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks Stacey :)
Love that hippo! So super cute!
Adorable tag and card…that hippo is so sweet and you’ve coloredhis so well. Love the little dots on his rear. I always think your photos are gorgeous anyway, so I’m the wrong person to ask about lighting & such. Not my strong suit. That sunset is spectacular.
Such a sweet and cute card Debby love it. And how about that picture, awesome.
very sweet…I ordered this stamp too..but still have to get it…
It’s so cute Holly – you will love it!
Okay, so I assume “upped sticks” means you moved? How or where ever you take your pictures, the cards are always shone in great light, including this darling one.
Thanks Bobby, and yes upped sticks is a term for moving location :) I’m not sure if that’s purely a British thing or just a ‘me’ thing LOL.
Adorably sweet card and tag!
Amazing card! Love the little tag :)
It’s so funny…I just posted a card using this set! Although, it’s not nearly as adorable as your card, tag and envie! I love the CBS tags, and how you put ‘spots’ on the hippo…hadn’t thought of that perfect detail :-)
I have to say that I like the lighting in today’s photo better than your usual lighting…but, I have issues with brightness on my pc screen…so I’m not sure if others will agree with me. Also, I love the rustic wood grain on your table, and of course how you staged your projects!
Will pop over to flickr in a minute Barb and find your version :) It’s interesting you say about the brightness on a PC. I’m on a Mac and I know they tend to be less bright, so I do worry that my photos are too bright for comfort on some people’s computers. Great to know – thank you :)
