I think this will be my last time posting before Valentine’s Day tomorrow so I thought if fitting to make my CASE Study card with a love theme :) Here’s Danielle’s gorgeous inspiration for the week:
My eyes were immediately drawn to the grouping of cute little heart stapled to the die cut cloud which I translated into a heart stapled to a die cut vellum doily. I was letting the lovely Crate Papers do all the work for me with this one! I just highlighted the banner built into the paper design with the heart outline die cut. I added a little paper banner of my own and a sprinkling of sequins and then mounted the panel over a lovely strong striped paper at the side.
When you break it down, this is really quite CAS with just a few items grouped into a corner and yet the patterned paper makes it feel more complex. Hmmm, I’m having to analyse my love of CAS design while still enjoying experimenting with mixed media and more freestyle collage styles. Hopefully I can blend them together and still keep ‘me’ while at the same time developing my style to current trends and influences :)
Don’t forget to check out the CASE Study blog – lots going on with Danielle’s take on her card, the DT creations and also those of our two guests, Caryn Davies and May Park!
Supplies: Dies – Simon Says Stamp small heart doily, heart & spoons; Paper – Crate Paper love notes 6×6; Card – Bazzill 40lb vellum, Neenah solar white 110lb; Sequins – Kelly Purkey satin white, gray
So pretty, love the sweet cluster of hearts :0
