We are kicking off February in style at CASE Study with an awesome new muse to keep us busy – none other than Danielle Flanders! Talk about a mega rock star of a muse! Danielle has the modern layered style perfected; a little vellum, a few bits and pieces peeking out and voila a masterpiece LOL. A perfect example is this week’s inspiration.
See what I mean? A little vellum, some gorgeous pattern papers, a smidgen of stamping, a touch of chipboard and it all comes together in a wonderfully cohesive way. I made the mistake of sticking quite close to the inspiration – anything I made was never going to live up to Danielle’s but I did enjoy myself so that’s what counts really, isn’t it?
I kept with the design of die cut glitter and stamped black sentiment in contrasting fonts and switched vellum stitched stars for hearts and the gold and black patterns became lovely splodgy splatters!
The last couple of days I’ve been using the Neenah solar white in 110lb weight and I have to say I’m really impressed :) It’s basically the same in colour and finish as the 80lb but just thicker. OK so reading that it’s probably no surprise LOL but the only hang up I had about the 80lb was that it was a little on the thin side for card bases and I’d often end up doubling up with panels to give a card more substance. So to have such a versatile card in a heavier weight is just ticking all my boxes! I just need to see how it takes Copic markers and if it completes that test then I think I will have a new favourite white :D
Check out the CASE Study blog – I seriously can’t wait to see what Danielle has created and there will also be not one but two guests joining us this month – my Clearly Besotted teamie Caryn Davies and also May Park! Oh not to mention the fabulousness which is the CASE Study design team too :)
I’m back tomorrow with a post you aren’t going to want to miss ;) See you then!

FABULOUS! I love everything you make :)
Yikes, another absolute beauty :)
Another beauitful card! Danielle is fabulous…but so are you! I’m certain I pin more of your cards (like every single one!) than anybody else’s.
Where do you purchase the bazzill glitter card used in this card- gorgeous by the way- I was unable to find it on the internet… Help, I need some of this!
Your work is always a treat!
Laura
Hi Debby, Just love your simple but awesome style. If only I had a bit of your talent. Anyway, would love to win some of those ink pads and papers they look awesome.
Wow. I just LOVE this! Beautiful! x
I think you are really selling yourself short, Debby. You have an amazing style of your own and your card is just as beautiful as Danielle’s cards. Love your vellum hearts.
