As soon as I saw this new Garden Fresh set from Clearly Besotted Stamps I knew I had to get my Distress Markers out to add a little layered colour to the cute veggies! I coloured direct to the radish stamp, then wafted the stamp into a fine mist of water from my spritzer before stamping. I then created a mask for the radish before adding the carrot and then masked the carrot before finally adding the lettuce. I do love a good punny sentiment LOL and this one certainly fits the bill! I slightly layered it over the stamped veggies using black ink from Simon Says Stamp. To finish the grouping, I added just a touch of shading with the Pumice Stone marker.
Pop by and see Stephanie, she always has lots of inspiration and links to more too. I will be back tomorrow with a look at another new set – all the new sets will go live on Wednesday 5th at 10pm GMT. See you tomorrow :)

This card is perfect. I love it.
Fantastic card! Love how the distress stamping turned out!
Oh my gorgeous! The colouring & layout of this is just perfection.
Fabulous card…so perfectly balanced in design and colors!! I’m just really curious…I treated myself to the distress markers after Xmas but, just used them the other nite for the first time…didn’t find them easy to color with…stiff points…did I get a bad batch (bought on etsy) or do I just need to adjust…curious?
Hmmm, I’ve just scribbled mine onto scratch paper and compared to a Copic Vicki. I would say the Distress Markers have a firmer feel than a Copic brush tip but that both have flexibility in the very tip allowing you to get different stroke thicknesses with different amounts of pressure. Is the ink flowing freely Vicki or are they dry too? I had one in my set that was dry. I contacted the seller and they replaced that one for me.
