Did you get chance to hop along yesterday to celebrate Simon Says Stamp’s Spring Release? It was such fun! I’m taking another look at the release today. Yesterday I concentrated on stencils and today it’s the turn of the dies! Specifically the Balloons die and one of the fabulous new scripty writing dies – Happy Birthday :) This card was so quick and easy to put together but I think it packs a great bright spring-time feel. I cut two balloons, one out of patterned paper which I also cut a heart out of and another out of vellum. I attached twine tails to these and then mounted them onto a panel splattered with mists.
The Happy Birthday was also cut from paper and then loosely glued to the balloons and the card panel. A sprinkling of a few sequins and then the panel was mounted onto a base covered with more patterned paper. And that was it, quick and easy :)
I’m back tomorrow this time looking at the new stamp sets. Have a great weekend!

Love your card!!! Thanks for the opportunity to win some goodies!!!
I love that you included a vellum balloon…it adds so much softness to your card, Debby! Such a fun font on the sentiment, too! Beautiful birthday card, which is sure to brighten someone’s day!
I haven’t had time yet to hop along, but I love what I’ve seen so far. You’ve created another wonderful card. Love the shaped twine and that sentiment die is awesome!
Such a bright, fun card! I love it!
Those colours inject so much happiness! Adorable balloon die too. You’ve got some amazing light for your pic – is that from some snow reflection or spring arriving? ;)
Love the happiness this card conveys, Debby. Lovely card!
Gorgeous card. I’m loving those balloon dies.
Love, love, LOVE! :)
Debbie – I love your work! I first saw some of your cards through the Online Card Classes and became a fan and subscriber. Always fun to see what crafting you are up to.
