I know I say this every month, but seriously how can it be the last CASE Study for January already! Donna Mikasa has been a dream to CASE this month and we end the month with another amazing creation:
Just look at that fabulous pop of colour and perfect finishing touches! For once I actually stuck more or less to the script LOL even down to the three gold sequins! Stenciled, the latest Online Card Class was amazingly inspiring so I had to pull out a stencil to use today :) This is the Mosaic Heart from Simon Says Stamp and I’ve seen some stunning uses around blog land just recently – a big hit for sure. I taped the stencil onto Neenah solar white card stock and used Distress Inks to give a gradient of colour. Without lifting the stencil, I generously misted with Heidi Swapp’s color shine in gold. I love mists at the moment; I know I’m late to the game and I’m note quite sure what rock I’ve been living under LOL.
Initially I used vellum for the sentiment, but it was getting a little lost in the bold stencilling so I pulled out a pop of pink to finish the card with the big ‘LOVE’ from Simon’s All About Love.
Well that rounds off January for me, please pop by the CASE Study blog to see the Team’s creations along with our guest for January, Erin Thiem, and of course Donna’s CASE of her own card :)
Supplies: Stamps – Simon Says Stamp all about love; Stencil – Simon Says Stamp mosaic heart; Inks – Distress Inks barn door, spiced marmalade, mustard seed, Versamark; Card – Neenah solar white, Bazzill lollipop; Embossing Powder – Hero Arts white; Mist – Heidi Swapp color shine gold
