This is my second post today, check out my giveaway for THREE spots on the next Online Card Class :)
Have you seen that Kelly Purkey just released a pile of new goodness to Simon Says Stamp?! I love, love, love the deer silhouette die from the Oh, Deer die set! I combined the deer with some Kelly Purkey letter stickers and the From Us stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. Popping the ‘hello’ up on one of Simon’s Talk Bubbles 2 dies :) Sad to say, but this seriously just cracks me up LOL.
I was chatting with the wonderful Aimes the other day and mentioned how I loved her balsa wood posts. A few days later, and totally out of the blue, a little parcel arrived in the post with some balsa wood for me to try out! Thank you Aimes, I think this deer just looks awesome in the balsa wood. I expect to see more deer and balsa wood posts in my near future LOL!
Supplies: Stamps – Simon Says Stamp from us; Dies – Kelly Purkey oh deer, talk bubbles 2; Letter Stickers – Kelly Purkey teal blue; Card – Bazzill juicy pear, candy hearts; Ink – Hero Arts cup o’ joe, Versamark; Embossing Powder – Hero Arts white
Love Kelly’s goodies and you’ve done an amazing job…a fun mix of colours and textures! Divine!!
This is truly stunning Debby! I love the balsa wood against the dark background (looks like stone) and the pops of colour – brilliant!
I love the texture on the deer and the colors you used…. beautiful!!
Great mix of textures and very cheeky sentiment!
this is great! hope to use some balsa out soon… youve inspired me!
Love this! The textures and colors are great! What is the grey paper you used?
Hi Kathryn, that card is from Bazzill. In attempt to tidy up a bit I went through all my Bazzill card stock and cut partially used pieces into sizes I would actually reach for. I now have a bunch of squares ready to make envelopes, some long strips for top folding card bases and some panels suitable for card fronts. Only thing is when I used to buy 12 x 12 card I didn’t note the colours anywhere :( I think the card base is one from their classic range and the brown panel is one from their orange peel range. I hope that helps if only a little!
Thanks, Debby for taking the time to reply! I haven’t checked out the Bazzill papers yet. Love the colors so I will have to!
I love these classes!
Fantastic!! I love the balsa wood! So sweet of Aimes to send you some!
I love this!
Yay! You used it! So quickly too! I wasn’t expecting to see a balsa wood beauty so soon! Oh how I’m swooning over that deer – it looks amazing cut from balsa wood! AMAZING! We need to find ourselves a balsa wood supplier methinks…! :)
I love it Aimes! Thank you so much :) And indeed, we need to find a supplier.
