There is humongous amounts of excitement and fun going on today as I am delighted to be hopping along for Simon Says Stamps Holiday Release! Now this isn’t just any type of hop, this is a VIDEO HOP! One of the main requests I get is for more videos, so I guess you guys are going to have fun as the hop is packed full with 10 designers taking part! When you get to my video you will see the card below and also a sneak peek of the card I will be posting here tomorrow!
All you have to do is pop over to Simon’s blog to start the hop!
On top of all the fun is a giveaway for the entire Holiday Release (if you’ve already purchased product Simon will refund the purchase price). All you have to do to be eligible is video hop around and then leave a comment on the Simon blog saying what your favourite product from the new Holiday Release is!
I imagine lots of you have dashed off to hop along but if you are still here I thought I’d show you some of the products that are being released. It appears that 8 is the magic number as there are 8 new stamp sets …
8 new dies …
8 new stencils and a couple of flair packs …
and to help with shopping and save money, 8 sets of the new product!
I love the Holiday season and I am already earmarking many of the new products as one’s which won’t leave my desk as I will be turning to them again and again. I LOVE the Wrapped Mailing Label dies. I recently converted a lot of older patterned papers into envelopes and these dies will be the perfect way to address my pretty envelopes. Also that label part of the die set is a great general shape for this CAS loving girl. What else has particularly caught my eye? Oh yes, be prepared to see lots of snowy scenes with embossing paste swiped through the Falling Snow stencil. And finally for particular note, the Fun Flakes dies, oh the snowflakes! Ranging from pretty and delicate to bold and funky! For my card on the hop I used the negative of the Kate snowflake to create a dimensional molten silver snowflake.
Take a look at the video if you haven’t already to see the technique on how to do this. Also I couldn’t resist using the Wrapped Mailing Label dies to dress up a matching envelope!
Phew this turned out to be a long post. If you are still with me then I thank you but now why not grab a cup of tea and pop over to Simon’s blog to start the hop. Have fun!
