When I saw the Halloween flair that came out as part of Simon Says Stamp’s Holiday Release I just couldn’t help but smile! My favourite – that crazy cute vampire one LOL. I thought the flair would be great on some little treat pockets. In the UK Halloween isn’t always celebrated but we are lucky where we live and our street throws themselves into the spirit of it all :) We go through a tonne of candy! However, I also like to have a few none candy  treats on offer – collecting cards, bracelets, stickers etc and I thought these treat pockets would be perfect for those.

The pockets are the Simon Says Stamp gift card envelope cut from black card and before assembling a circle die cut out the envelope front and then backed with fun patterned papers. Once that’s done the pocket can be assembled and decorated.

I say decorated, but I kept it ever so simple and easy. As the back of the flair is recessed, I doubled up some foam squares to stick the badge to the patterned paper and then wrapped with toning twine. Easy peasy and yet impactful and fun!

Oh and I used a couple of stamps from Kelly Purkey’s Halloween set too :)

I have to get on, we have our October break from school starting at the end of this week so I’m on countdown as to how much I can get done beforehand LOL.
