I’ve been meaning to share this little Gift Card Envelope for ages! Finally, I got a moment today to snap a picture :)
I cut the envelope from an old map and then aged the edges with Distress Inks. I also cut a Small Plane from the map and mounted it onto an aged Medium Tag finally stamping the sentiment from Kelly Purkey’s Come Sail Away set and tying it all up with my favourite Hemptique twine. So easy but I love the map and I’m thinking this would be great to pop a little something inside for a student on a gap year adventure, or someone simply moving away :)
We have friends coming round tonight so I need to get myself organised and some cooking done. Have a great weekend :)

OMG, Debby, this is sooo cool!!! A couple of months ago I saved some very small sheets with maps and traffic signs from an old diary/notebook/agenda (not sure which is more correct) to use in cards, but I never got to use them… now I couldn’t help but smile when I saw your project. Gorgeous simplicity!!!
C’est magnifique ,woooooooow!
C’est une drôle de coïncidence pour moi car j’habite à ANNONAY en France,c’est exactement cet endroit qui est sur votre carte.

How wonderful! Perhaps you can tell me how out of date my old map is LOL. It’s sure an old one :)
