I’m changing the pace today from the last couple of days of puny and sweet cards to one of simplicity and reflection. The poppy is such an emotive image don’t you think? The delicate flower with the big hit of colour stands for so much. War. Loss. Remembrance. Commemoration. The poppy image in the soon to be released Remember set from Clearly Besotted Stamps is beautiful and captures that symbolism in its classic lines. I wanted to keep things simple so I stamped it in Distress Inks onto water-colour paper, popping the image up over a kraft base wrapped in twine.

I have something a little different up my sleeve for tomorrow; I hope you will call back then :)
