limedoodleCASEhop

Oh my goodness can CASE Study really be turning 3?! Well despite my doubts it seems it is so LOL and boy do we have some fun for you! We have three, count ’em, THREE days of blog hops! Believe me when I say that the blog hop lists are filled with rock star names! That’s the wonderful thing about CASE Study; each month Chupa manages to pull out the most amazing designers for us to CASE and lots of CASE Study muses and friends have jumped aboard for these festivities. As a testament to that, as part of the hop you should have come here from Andrea Ewen’s blog (totally LOVE Andrea), but if not then call on by the CASE Study blog so you can start at the beginning of the hop :)

CS 3rd anniversary

The theme for the hop was simple and just totally the spirit of CASE Study – Inspiration! Be it Pinterest, a magazine article or a fellow crafter, take the inspiration and design something around it. For my card I was inspired by the totally adorable, and amazingly talented Julie Ebersole! Julie has a love of white, both in card stock and white space, that just speaks to me :) So as I was making my card I was trying to channel my inner Julie with a sprinkling of sequins here, a touch of chevrons there – you get the idea LOL.

The stamps I used today are actually an extra early sneak peek (shhh) of Clearly Besotted Stamps next release! I love the modern feel of the Basic Alphabet set which is just the right size for making up your own sentiments. I also used the Fancy Florals set which is a set packed with wonderful flower and leaf images but as I was looking at one of the flower centre images it reminded me of the centre of a cucumber LOL! So I cut a couple of circles of white card, edged them in a dark green Copic and then blended in some light green from the edges before stamping the centre pieces. I added glossy accents to the edges of the cucumber slices to give the juicy look and some white enamel accents to the centre pieces to act as cucumber seeds! So now I’m wondering if ‘cool as a cucumber’ is a saying around your part of the world? I hope so other wise seeing my card you’d have a total blank LOL!

Well, I guess I’ve rambled on long enough so it’s time to hop on to the fabulous Jeanne Jachna! Oh but one last thing, call by the CASE Study blog to check out the prizes on offer to go along with the hop!
