I am delighted to be guesting with the girls over at Runway Inspired Challenge today!
I must admit to being a little daunted when I saw the inspiration photo – wow luscious rich autumnal colours but, for me, so much of them LOL. So I do what I always do under these circumstances and just used a snippet of the inspiration along with lots of neutral colour to balance it out :)
I was immediately drawn to the pattern through the sweater and knew Simon Says Stamps Full Card Triangle die was perfect for the job :)
Of course I had to add some enamel dots when I spotted those buttons around the neck. I used some from My Mind’s Eye but the colour wasn’t quite spot on so I touched them up with an R39 copic marker. I couldn’t stop there with the shine and added some glossy accents to the pieced pattern for a spot of interest.
Pop over to the Runway Inspired Challenge blog to see how the Design Team were inspired. I can’t wait as each week these amazingly talented girls keep my Pinterest board topped up!

Debby you did a fantastic job with this one!! I just love how you created the same pattern from the sweater and mimicked the same colors almost to a tee! Great job!

After drooling over this card for a full 5 minutes, I read everyone’s post (which I rarely do)…now, I don’t even know what to say!
I am in total awe of your talent, and I would just ‘love’ to get inside your brain for just a little while to know how you come up with such amazing designs, like this one! Absolutely gorgeous card, Debby…WOW!!!
This is so cool!! You nailed it. Absolutely love you glossy accented triangles!!
Debby, I’m just as hypnotized by your card now as I was when you first sent it to me- for a CAS card, it’s amazing how many little details there are! I love the tweed patterned background, the glossiness, and the vertical sentiment. Thanks SO much for being our guest at the Runway Inspired Challenge!! :)
Thanks Jen! I really enjoyed joining you at RIC this week; thanks for having me over :)
