Oh I do enjoy playing with my dies! Today I broke out Clearly Besotted Stamps new Honeycomb die. Gotta love how easy hexagons slot together! You get two little dies in the pack which makes quick work of cutting a bunch for a card like this. The dies are a great size not too big but not too small. I sound like a narrator for Goldilocks and the Three Bears LOL but it’s true; you can get a great pattern going with these dies in no time :)
A little while ago I picked up a selection pack of Bazzill card shoppe and I’ve been so impressed with the delicious colours and nice thick quality of this card stock that I put in an order for a pack of each colour! So along with the brand spanking new dies I got to break open 3 new packs of card. It’s sad but totally true that this makes me so happy! Working from light to dark I used Robin’s Egg, Candy Necklace and Jawbreaker. Jawbreaker, what a fabulous name, I think I’d love it for the name never mind it’s wonderful rich teal tones LOL.
Once I’d popped up my shapes on foam adhesive I added a sprinkling of enamel dots and a couple of sequins and then finally snuggled in a sentiment from Clearly Besotted Stamps Happy Days set. This is a fabulous and very versatile set to be used all year round. You get three large ‘Happy’ words and then a selection of matching sentiments in a font that I just love; simple but that little bit quirky at the same time :)
Right that’s me for today. Lots going on here this weekend but I’m hoping to squeeze in a bit more crafty time if I can :)
Edited to add: Tracey kindly reminded me this would be good project to link up to CASology this week :)

Beautiful! Love the arrangement of your hexagons! So glad you joined in on the fun at CASology this week!
Gorgeous card, Debby! I love how you placed the hexagons and that you used different shades of blue…love your dots and sequins, too!
This was such a recognizably “Debby” card in the thumbnails! I’m so in love with it. And I know what you mean about Bazzill papers; I’ve been a fan for over a decade! Enjoy!!
Debby, this is fabulous…I love the color hues you combined, just gorgeous together (I love that paper, too!)! Thanks for joining us at CASology this week!
Stunning!
So pretty! Love the combination of colors and accents! Just perfect in balance!
Hugs, Wendy
I think you should start designing fabric! The tower of hexagons, with the sprinkling of dots would make a great summer skirt… Or maybe its just me! Finally spring-like weather here in Canada, so I’m changing out the clothes in my wardrobe and “discovering” lots of goodies from last year. Happy Mother’s Day, Debby (although I think you celebrate it earlier in the UK?).
We are enjoying some lovely weather too Caroline :) Bliss isn’t it! Yes we had our Mother’s Day in the UK a little while back but enjoy yours and I hope those boys spoil you :)
