Did your Mum say to you that everything would seem better in the morning? Mine did and you know what she was right; it always did! I was making this card with the stunning new Simon Says Stamp Sunshine die when I noticed a sentiment in the equally brand spanking new Inside & Out Sayings set and the two paired together made me think of that piece of advice: everything will be okay in the morning when the sun rises :)
Some people ask where my ideas come from. Sometimes it’s the just the random workings of my brain LOL, other times a necklace or a challenge image such as yesterdays Runway Inspired Challenge but today’s card design was inspired by some wonderful packaging for a pack of cards I found last night while wandering around blogland:
Such a happy coincidence to see this picture and realise that the white rays paired with gold would look great for the new die waiting to be broken out of it’s packaging :)
One other piece of total randomness; as I’m typing up the supplies for this card and seeing ‘Flat Bottom Clouds’ my mind spins off to the Queen song Fat Bottomed Girls! ‘Fat bottomed girls you make the rockin’ world go round’. Well perhaps in my world flat bottomed clouds make the world go round! Ok enough randomness:)
Supplies: Stamps – Simon Says Stamp inside & out sayings; Ink – Versafine onyx black; Card – Stampin’ Up glitter card; Dies – Simon Says Stamp sunshine, flat bottom clouds; Sequins
Being random suits you!! Being creatively-awesome suits you even more though – this is a masterpiece!! And now I must have that die!!!
Gorgeous! I’m not normally a fan of gold, but this is stunning :) love your randomness btw
I LOVE this! The gold sparkle is wonderful, and the very sad and scary thing, is that I have often hummed that song when viewing cards with flat bottomed clouds…
We should form a club Miriam!
Your card is beautiful! Made me think of my Mother, too. I miss her so!
Gorgeous card! I actually went and looked at this die yesterday and had decided it was too small! After seeing your card, fairly certain it will make it to my cart in the near future!
Hi Allisa, my card today is a standard 4.25 x 5.5 inches so you can see that there is space around the die. The die will also fit landscape too on a standard card but there wouldn’t be much space to each side. Hope that helps for you to get an idea of it’s size.
i just recently found you and love your creativity and adore that card -I too have been eyeing that die, so wonderful to see it shine. thanks so much for sharing it with the world. Here’s to all the great mums.
LOL You crack me up! I love it! And… I love this card, beautiful gold/white palette! Love it!
Hugs,
Jo
Oooh, this is so cool! I love it!

Stunning, Debby! I agree mum definitely knows best!
