It’s time for this week’s CASE Study! I can’t believe this is week 4 with Maile as our muse already! Fortunately May is a five Thursday month so we have next week to enjoy too before saying goodbyes :)
I must admit that this week had me stumped as I just couldn’t think of an original take on the idea. Love the colours, love the leaves, love the bling … so I just went with it and made a quite literal CASE of Maile’s card :) Lots of Clearly Besotted Stamps goodies on here with the lovely delicate leaf sprig from Leafy Accents, my favourite butterfly from Butterfly Wishes and a sentiment from My Cup of Tea. To spice it up a bit I added rock candy Distress Stickles to the leaves and star dust Stickles to the butterfly before finishing off with a few sequins for bling.
Pop by CASE Study to see more takes on Maile’s card from the Design Team (they amaze me each and every week), our guest for May, Erin, and of course from Maile herself :)
Supplies: Stamps – Clearly Besotted Stamps butterfly wishes, my cup of tea, leafy accents; Inks – Versafine onyx black, Hero Arts field greens, forever green, Distress markers spun sugar, worn lipstick; Dies – Clearly Besotted Stamps butterfly wishes, leafy accents, Wplus9 timeless tags 2; Ranger Distress Stickles rock candy, Ranger Stickles star dust; Twine – Hemptique; Sequins
I adore your case! The leaves are so delicate and I love the white tag on white card.
i wish I could make my cards asymetrical and look so right!
This card is so beautiful – love everything about it from the simplicity, colors, placement of images, wow! You are so talented! Thanks for sharing.
This card is absolutely delightful! Love the effect of rock candy and Stickles :-)
Did you color the butterfly stamp with the markers? It looks like it was water colored.
Hi Tasnim, I coloured the image directly with markers and then stamped and I also added a few flicks with the markers to the stamped image too :)
Stunning! Loving the placement of the leaves and the dew drops!
Oh, this is so pretty, Debby!
Love the shape of the leaves and the watercolorlook of the butterfly.
Such a lovely card. Very pretty Debby.
