Hello to all my new blog followers! I am so touched by the amazing response to moving my blog from Blogger to WordPress. Have you seen the latest release from Clearly Besotted Stamps? Such delights each and every time – I don’t know how they do it! I was excited to ink up the new Call Me set. Isn’t that retro telephone just fabulous! I used Versafine onyx black and then added some Ranger enamel accents to the dial for a little extra detail. The trendy speech bubble is from the You Said It! set – you get three dies in the set :) The sentiment is from the Call Me set too.
In the quiet of an evening when the kids have gone to bed I like to sit with my laptop and browse around blogland seeing what everyone’s been up to and soaking in all the wonderful inspiration. One recent trend I’ve noticed is using broad stripes as a background. I adore stripes and love seeing this staple design element have a fresh new look. For my card the stripes were made from 1cm strips of card spaced 1cm apart. Nice and easy and adds a great pop of colour. The card I used was from the Bazzill card shoppe rainbow pack – the colours are seriously gorgeous and it was so easy to pull a few out that went together well :)
