Sympathy cards are the hardest one’s to make I think. You want to portray depth of emotion and heartfelt sympathy for the recipient with a card which is appealing to look at but not too bright or cheerful. Indeed sympathy cards are tough to make. When I saw the new Fancy Feathers set from Clearly Besotted Stamps my mind sprung to the current fun feather trend, and I have plans for this set with that in mind, but I also knew the elegance of the images would be perfect for sympathy cards. I white heat embossed the tall feather onto a kraft panel and simply embellished with a twine threaded button, a few pearls and a little glitter.
While we are talking about Clearly Besotted Stamps, it’s time to announce the winner of the Call Me set.
Miriam Prantner says:
Would LOVE to win this set! One of the things I’ve noticed a lot lately, although I feel like I saw it here first is embossing in white and watercoloring images. GORGEOUS. Also all the gold embossing that is out there these days.
Congratulations Miriam! I will be in touch to get your snail mail address :)
