OK seeing as my camera lens has just broken, this photo is as good as it’s going to get until I can get the lens fixed or replaced :( My card is for this weeks delicious Tuesday Trigger. Here’s the inspiration photo:
I love the soft, pretty pinks scattered over on the woodgrain background. I used Bazzill marshmallow card and stamped Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain with Versamark; it’s very faint in the photo but in real life it adds a lovely subtle background. I coloured some more of the marshmallow card with a very pale pink Promarker and then die cut using the Full Card Triangle die from Simon Says Stamp. The triangles were popped up on foam adhesive and then I added a sprinkling of two colours of pink enamel dots from My Mind’s Eye. My obsession with enamel dots continues and I’ve just added a few more packs to my collection :) Finally I stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Stamps tilted banners in Versafine smoky gray.
Well I’m off to Google how to get this lens fixed but at first glance it appears a new one might be in order *sigh*. Fortunately I have already taken the picture for tomorrow’s CASE Study Challenge so I will be back here tomorrow for that :)
Stunning and again so CAS. The trigger is also beautifully inspiring. I guess we tend to make more complex cards at the beginning, because it’s all new and we want to try everything in one card: inks, shapes, techniques… at least it is my case. Then I see a card like this of yours and I wonder why can’t I stop adding things earlier? :) I’m working on it, though.

Hi Cristina, it took me a while to find my style. I followed lots of trends before realising the cards I liked were clean and simple and so made a conscious effort to follow that style. You can’t go wrong if you go with what your gut tells you :)
