Love is in the air and Simon Says Stamp has made it even more fun to create projects to show someone that love with their 2013Valentine’s Day Release. I was asked to create a project using something from this release to share in today’s Valentine’s Day Blog Hop. However, I couldn’t stop with just one project and ended up making three! So if you haven’t already then grab yourself a cup of tea and settle down :) For my first card I just had to play with the Furry Kisses stamp set.

The previous stamp set featuring Kristina Werner’s pet cat Mannie was a huge hit with me (click hereherehere and here). I’m not sure if Mannie has a friend but I like to call her Maria! Mannie and Maria were stamped onto Neenah solar white card, coloured with Copics and cut out then I created a wall for them to hang out on together from three colours of card cut into 1cm by 1.5cm pieces and adhered onto a grey piece of card. I thought these two kitties looked quite cosmopolitan so used Hero Arts Newspaper Skyline stamped in three colours to create a little city scene. The sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Talk Bubbles 2 was stamped onto a fun speech bubble from the matching die set. Oh and the little hearts were die cut with one of my all time favourite dies – Holiday Shapes and coloured with markers.

For my next card I wanted to play with some colour and more of the fun new dies:

I paired the new String of Hearts and You dies with the previously released Absolutely die and a partially stamped sentiment from On The Edge. Oh and although it’s difficult to see in this photo, there is also a little glitter heart from Holiday Shapes too :)
I’ve seen vellum popping up everywhere just recently so for my final card I white heat embossed two hearts from the Lots of Hearts set onto vellum die cut with a die from the Large Hearts set. The sentiment from Just A Love Note was also white heat embossed and finally I couldn’t resist another scattering of hearts from the Holiday Shapes dies and also this time I used the new Large Holiday Shapes dies too.

Phew, I hope you enjoyed my look into the new Valentine’s Day products. I’ve also used some of the sets previously here and here :)
