Popping in today with a sneak peek from Lil’ Inker Designs latest release :) Hopefully as part of the new release hop you’ve arrived here from Jen’s blog. If not pop by and see Laura to start at the beginning so you don’t miss anything :)
This card was inspired by our holiday! It was so hot at times that walking on the sand barefoot could give you 3rd degree burns! So it was essential to keep your flip flops on right up to the sea before slipping them off to splash in the waves and cool off. How happy was I when Laura designed these cute little flip flop dies :)
I stamped the base with a light woodgrain to give the impression of sea washed sand and then cut some flip flop dies in the same colour to act as foot steps. The flip flops themselves were cut in black with a pop of orange detail and raised up on dimensionals. The waves are the negative of two sizes of scallop die.
Don’t forget that this month’s prizes will be two $10 store credits :) Now it’s time to hop on over to LID!
Well that’s me for today but I am back with a LID post tomorrow with another card inspired by our holiday. See you then.
