Wow, week three of June already! Time is sure flying by ……
Ok, that was a bit punny but I just couldn’t resist. This is the card to inspire us at CASE study this week :) Joy certainly pulled out all the stops with this one – isn’t all that dimension gorgeous and the blue with neutrals and the bold number top left. Now before I go on to show you my card I’d just like to say that this is a rather special CASE study post as I believe a certain DT member has a birthday today …. a big birthday, you know one of those that ends in a zero …….
HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY AIMES !!!!!
Amy (Aimes) is one of the sweetest people I’ve met in blog land; always there with encouragement and a witty comment to make you smile. Not to mention she has talent oozing out of every pore! Aimes, this card is for you :)
I translated the overall placement of elements on to my die cut panel – the clouds and plane became the branch and bird, the banner sentiment dictated where my sentiment went with the number top left. I have the exact same impression plate as Joy and included a strip of embossed blue card below my panel.
I didn’t want to stop there with my card though. The branch sticking out one side and birds tail the other meant that this card wasn’t going to fit in an envelope. So I made a matching custom envelope.
I hope you have a wonderful day Aimes full of fun, laughter and cake!
Here’s the rest of the team to see how Joy inspired them.

Debby, what a gorgeous card and envelope for Aimes…love the color palette and all the texture with the embossing. Divine.
Your cards are always so clean and stunning. Love this one.
wow you are amazing…I love your designs…
I just ordered this sweet bird die and now I’m wishing I’d gotten the branch, too! I love the way you compressed Joy’s design onto the smaller panel and added just a strip of embossed cardstock. What a beautiful card for Aimes!
Aimes is one lucky girl! I’m in love with this card!
I really love the bird card and matching envelope. So sweet and creative!
LOVE the colors and the newsprint bird. Perfection! :-)
I really am a lucky gal! Thank you SO MUCH, Debby! This card is even more drool-worthy IRL!!! My guy reckons it’s time to take the cards down now, but yours is coming upstairs with me to my desk ;D
Sorry for the belated response. Turns out that turning 30 is a super busy occasion! LOL!
Hugs!
