Today is all about Papertrey Ink! First up is the Make it Monday challenge for this week which is to use an impression plate on only part of a piece of cardstock. Second is the latest challenge from A Passion For Papertrey which is to use paper piecing.
I also used a lot of inspiration from this weeks Tuesday Trigger on Moxie Fab as I did for this card. So the same basic design but mixing up the colours and elements a little.
It was so bright and sunny (happy sigh) when I was taking these photos that it’s hard to see the lovely details of the impression plate. So here’s a close up:

Love, love, love this, just gorgeous. I have that same Sizzix branch die (love the look and size of it) and for the life of me I cannot get it to cut all the way thru on my Cuttlebug. I have tried every shim you can think of. Do you have this problem too? any tricks?

Popping in to answer a few questions.
Ang, I have this ancient sidekick which I use to cut my sizzlets dies. I’ve tried to cut them in the cuttlebug but had no success. However, I’ve not concentrated on it and tried hard as I just quickly turn to my sidekick. Sorry to be of no help.
Amy, I saw Mailes Belles using this ribbon technique when All Booked Up came out. I’ll try and find a link as she showed pictures on how to do it. It’s really simple but I love the look of it.
As it turns out I first remember the ribbon tying for All Booked Up but here’s where whe showed how to do it http://mailebelles.blogspot.com/2010/10/quick-easy-tags.html
Gorgeous design Debby – yummy finish with that ribbon ;)
Beautiful!
This is gorgeous Debby – I love the flower paper-peiced with the pastel paper and the ribbon details is gorgeous.
Thanks for joining in with us at A Passion For Papertrey.

Wonderful card. I love the partial embossing. Great clean feel.
Debby,
thanks for replying to my question. I have an old sidekick around here somewhere. I’ll have to dig it out and give it a try.
Thanks again,
Ang
Debby,
thanks again for the tip. I actually found my old sidekick. I started to think maybe I had given it away. Thankfully I had not. One pass thru, no shims, perfect cut.
